Celebrity Art Auction Gala
The American Diabetes
Association's
Celebrity Art Auction Gala is a unique formal event that
unites people from the medical, corporate, civic, entertainment, and
sports worlds with prominent local and national artists in support of
the fight against diabetes. Collaborative pieces of art through various
mediums including watercolor, oil, acrylic, glass, photography,
mixed-media and sculpture will be auctioned to raise funds for diabetes
research, advocacy and education. Terry Cousino and I
were matched up to create a piece of work for this event. Terry is a
detective with the Toledo Police department and has gained well-deserved
notoriety for his work in solving a very cold case involving the murder of a
nun by a priest.

Terry is generous with
his time for charity, and goes above and beyond. For me, this cause hits
home. I was diagnosed with Diabetes at age 17 and it is the cause of my
blindness. No question, just had to do it. |
